Gordon Hayward will leave in the middle of the Boston Celtics’ playoff run to be with his wife, Robyn as she will give birth to their fourth child.

Robyn Hayward is due to give birth sometime in September which will be right in the middle of the NBA Playoffs. The semifinals are scheduled to begin around August 30, and the conference finals are to start September 15th at the latest.

“There’ll be a time if and when we’re down there and she’s going to have the baby, I’m for sure going to be with her. We’ll have to cross that bridge when we get there.” – Gordon Hayward via ESPN

This situation is so much more important than basketball and Hayward SHOULD leave to be with his wife. However, Gordon Hayward leaving the Celtics could mean a lot of trouble for the team down the road.
