The Boston Celtics learned Thursday that one of their players have tested positive for the coronavirus, COVID-19. That player…. was Marcus Smart. The team said Smart was not exhibiting any symptoms and has been in isolation for several days and will continue to do so while being monitored by the team’s medical staff.

Everyone can take a deep breath because it seems Marcus is alright,

“I feel okay, I feel fine,”

“I can’t stress enough practicing social distancing, keep yourself away from large groups of people,”

– Smart said in a video posted to Twitter.

The positive test results came a week after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert and teammate Donavan Mitchell tested positive for the coronavirus. The Celtics played the Jazz at TD Garden on Friday, March 6.
